Terms & Conditions

These terms govern bookings made with Creative Mike Studios for any of our services (photography, video production, podcast studio hire, full production episodes, studio hire). By making a booking — whether through the website, email, WhatsApp, or in person — you agree to these terms.

Bookings and confirmations

A booking is provisional until a deposit (or full payment, on hourly slots) is received and we have replied confirming the slot. We will hold a tentative slot for 48 hours pending payment; after that the slot may be released to other clients.

Pricing

All prices on the website are in GBP and are inclusive of the kit, the producer in the room (where included in your tier) and the studio space. Special requests (additional cameras, on-location work, extended edits) are quoted separately and require written agreement before the session.

Deposits and payment

Hourly and half-day bookings are payable in full at booking. Day blocks and full-production episodes require a 50% deposit at booking, with the balance due before the session begins. We accept card and bank transfer; invoices are issued via Stripe.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Cancellations more than 7 days before the session: full refund of deposit. Between 3 and 7 days: 50% refund. Less than 3 days or no-show: deposit is non-refundable, but we will attempt to reschedule into another slot within 30 days at no extra cost. Cancellations made by us (in the rare event of equipment failure, illness, or force majeure) are refunded in full or rescheduled at your preference.

File ownership and licensing

Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing, the recording outputs (raw audio, raw video, edited deliverables, photographs) belong to you, the client. We retain the right to display anonymised samples in our portfolio with your written permission. We will never publish, sell, or share your recordings to third parties without explicit consent.

Image and subject consent

By booking a session that includes additional people (interview guests, models, subjects), you confirm that those people have given consent for their image, voice and likeness to be recorded. We do not separately verify subject consent. If a guest requests their material be deleted after the session, we will provide raw files to you and exclude their content from any portfolio use.

On-site rules

• The studio operates by appointment only. Arrive at your booked slot.
• No smoking, vaping or open flames on the premises.
• Food and drink in the recording room is at your own risk; we ask that liquids stay in sealed containers.
• Damage to equipment or premises is the booking party's responsibility. We carry public liability cover; you are encouraged to carry your own equipment cover for items you bring.
• We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone behaving unsafely or abusively towards staff or other clients.

Liability

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the booking. We are not liable for consequential losses (lost revenue, missed deadlines) caused by equipment failure, third-party service outages, or force majeure events (fire, flood, transport strikes, etc.). Public liability is covered up to [TODO: insurance amount].

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be addressed first by direct conversation, then by mediation, and as a last resort through the English courts.
