Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 April 2026
This privacy policy explains how Creative Mike Studios ("we", "our") collects, uses and protects information about you when you use our website (Creative Mike Studios.com), book a session, or otherwise interact with the studio. We are committed to protecting your privacy in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Creative Mike Studios — Studio 127, 1st Floor, Artistic Spaces, 23 Wharf St, London SE8 3GG. The data controller is the studio's owner. You can reach us at info@creativemikestudios.com.
What we collect
We collect personal data when you:
- Make an enquiry or booking through the website (name, email, phone number, project details).
- Subscribe to the newsletter (email address).
- Visit the website (anonymous analytics — see "Cookies" below).
- Are recorded or photographed during a booked session (image, audio, video).
How we use it
We use your personal data to:
- Respond to enquiries and deliver the services you book.
- Send the studio newsletter (with your consent — unsubscribe in any email).
- Comply with legal and tax obligations (invoices, VAT records).
- Improve the website (anonymous, aggregated analytics).
Legal basis
We process your data on the lawful bases of contract (delivering services you've booked), legitimate interests (running and improving the studio), consent (newsletter, non-essential cookies), and legal obligation (financial records).
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies (session, security) and, with your consent, analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) to understand site usage. You can refuse non-essential cookies via the cookie banner.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with processors necessary to deliver our services — for example, our hosting provider, payment processor (Stripe), and email provider.
Retention
We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected: enquiry records for 12 months, booking and invoice records for 7 years (HMRC requirement), newsletter subscription until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or transfer your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email info@creativemikestudios.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Image and recording use
When you book a session, we treat the recording (audio, video, photographs) as your property. We will not use any recording for promotion or social media without your explicit written consent. If a session involves third-party guests, you confirm those guests have given image-use consent at booking time.
Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated by email to newsletter subscribers and active clients.
This is a starting skeleton. Before relying on it, have it reviewed by a UK GDPR-competent lawyer or generated via a service like Termly or iubenda. Items marked in the source need site-specific values filled in.
