Accessibility
Inclusive access — by design, not afterthought.
Last updated: 25 April 2026
We want every guest, host and collaborator to feel welcome and able to do their best work in our studio. This page is a living description of how we approach access, where we're confident, and where we're still improving.
Physical access
- The studio is on the first floor of Artistic Spaces. A lift is available.
- Step-free access from the building's main entrance to the studio door. No raised sills.
- Accessible toilet on the same floor as the studio. We're happy to show you on a quick tour before booking.
- Lighting can be adjusted for guests with photosensitivity — let us know in advance.
- Recording sessions are by appointment only, so the space is quiet and predictable (helpful for autistic guests or anyone sensitive to ambient noise).
Audio and video
- Captions and transcripts are available on request for all final deliverables.
- We can provide live audio routing to a separate room if a guest needs to participate from outside the recording booth.
- Multi-track audio is recorded for every session, which makes precise captioning and re-mixing for accessibility straightforward.
Communication
- We're happy to communicate by email, WhatsApp or phone — whichever works best for you. Email at info@creativemikestudios.com is best for anything you'd like in writing.
- For deaf or hard-of-hearing visitors, we welcome BSL interpreters at no additional charge to the booking. Please let us know in advance so we can plan space for them.
- We use plain English in our pricing, contracts and policies. If anything is unclear, tell us — we'll fix the wording, not just the answer.
Where we're improving
Some specific areas where we know there's more to do:
- Our website is checked against WCAG 2.1 AA periodically; not every page yet meets every criterion. Issues we find are tracked and fixed in priority order.
- We don't currently have changing facilities or quiet rooms separate from the studio itself. We'll factor this into the new Woolwich premises in 2026.
Reporting an issue
If you encounter an accessibility problem with our website or studio, please tell us directly — email info@creativemikestudios.com. We treat every report as feedback worth acting on, not a complaint to manage.
